Torsion Spring Replacement
$375.00$199.00
Garage door springs are the core of the system, carrying the full weight of the door each time it opens and closes. Torsion springs sit above the door and use high-torque tension to provide smooth, controlled movement. Extension springs, mounted on the sides, stretch and contract to counterbalance the load. Some doors also use Wayne Dalton TorqueMaster systems, where the springs are enclosed in a protective tube.
Springs are designed for a specific number of cycles (each cycle = one open and close). Over time, the steel fatigues and eventually snaps, often without warning. A broken spring can cause the door to drop suddenly or leave it stuck in place. Attempting DIY replacement is extremely dangerous—torsion springs are wound with hundreds of pounds of torque, and incorrect handling can cause serious injury.
Our licensed technicians are trained to safely remove, measure, and install the correct springs for your door type. Whether it’s torsion, extension, or a TorqueMaster conversion, we ensure the repair is done to manufacturer standards, restoring safe and reliable operation.
